Well, long story short: This is my half of an art trade I did with basically a year ago.
I didn't forget her, let's just say I have a slow return rate when it comes to art. xP
But anyways. This light blue and yellow one is Payna, whom belongs to :basi:. The Sunset-themed one is mine, a character who I've been fooling around with for a while, but could never settle on a color scheme or definitive markings. I got the color idea from the colors of Maned-Husky's random character, but I tried my definite hardest to make it obvious that he is in no affiliation with her character other than color. But, I digress.
His name is Panta. Short for "Panta Rei" meaning "Everything Flows".
since Payna is a basenji Anubis mix, I felt it appropriate to throw in Panta, as he is an Ibizan hound. All in all, I like the way it came out, and it was more marker practice for me.
So, basi, I'm SO sorry it took me eons to give you this. D: Hope you like it.
Well I'm glad you like it. I love the sighthounds, they're all so elegant. Especially Payna's simplistic design, it's realyl classy. I had fun drawing her. :3

"Sasquatch? is that some kind of vegetable, or an Indian Tribe?"
Okay, wow. You totally need to draw more than just wolves and german shepherdy looking dogs, because these look INCREDIBLE. Drawing minus the fluff is difficult, since you can't obscure anatomical problems. LOVE these

Haha yeah, I've been looking through my gallery and really kindof bummed myself out at all the wolves/coyotes/long-haired canines.
I've always loved the short-hair streamlined look, so I'm definitely going to start spitting out some different looks then what I'm used to. One because I need to break out of my comfort zone with them, and two, because it gets old when I want to draw something but all I can pull out of my box is a generic huskything. :/
So thanks! I'm glad you like them.

Oh, it's not that the other stuff is boring, it's just that the other types are so much less seen. It's refreshing, and you do it so well.
Nothing wrong with being good at something and continuing to do it. =]

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

I absolutely adore the way you drew Payna (one of the best representations I've seen), and Panta's design is fascinating. I love it. ^.^
